Bill Gillispie, Jr. joined the Save-A-Lot team in 2008 as Senior Vice President, Merchandising and Marketing. As a leader in the company, Bill encourages his team to maintain a focus on the consumer to ensure Save-A-Lot provides its customers with an overall shopping experience that exceeds their expectations. His responsibilities include managing the company's merchandising development, brand strategy, advertising, marketing, promotions, and sales planning and analytics.

Prior to joining Save-A-Lot, Bill held various positions with parent company SUPERVALU. With more than 20 years in the grocery retail industry, Bill has extensive experience at Cub Foods, Scotts Food and SUPERVALU, most recently holding the position of Corporate Vice President of Dairy and Frozen Food at SUPERVALU's home office.

Bill earned his bachelor's of science degree in marketing from Illinois State University and his master's in business administration from St. Xavier University in Chicago, IL. He is a national board member for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and very active with fundraising, volunteering and mentoring within the organization. Bill resides in St. Louis, Missouri.
