David Hoover joined Save-A-Lot in 2000 after parent company SUPERVALU INC. acquired Richfood. His direct responsibilities include financial planning and analysis, credit and collections, information technology and risk management. David also provides expertise in retailer financing and internal auditing functions.

At Richfood from 1990-2000, David served as Director, Planning and Analysis, Vice President, Finance, and Vice President, Finance/Corporate Controller. In addition to his direct Save-A-Lot responsibilities David brings expertise in areas including mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, SEC reporting and corporate taxation.

David earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Virginia. In 1985 he began his career as a CPA with KPMG Peat Marwick. David, his wife and their three children reside in St. Louis.
