David McDaniel began his Save-A-Lot career in 1984 as a Buyer. He was named Director of Purchasing in 1991 and Vice President, Grocery Procurement in 1997. His current responsibilities include exclusive label and branded grocery, frozen and general merchandise procurement, as well as responsibility for the company’s opportunistic buying segment. He also manages the inventory replenishment for Save-A-Lot's 15 distribution centers.
David started his grocery career in 1975 at Associated Grocers, and working to become Vice President, Purchasing. His experience and expertise are important in procurement of dry and canned goods, general merchandise, frozen and cooler items.
David received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Westminster College. He is a member of the Retail Advisor Board for the Private Label Manufacturers Association and a past member of the Allied Food Club. David, his wife and two children reside in St. Louis.
