Save-A-Lot selects top candidates to participate in the Distribution Career Development Program. Participants are mentored by a senior-level manager in distribution throughout the program.

The program consists of a combination of rotational assignments over 5-9 months in:

Save-A-Lot Truck
  • Transportation
  • Perishable Product
  • Management
  • Multi-shift Exposure
  • Order Selection
  • Customer Service
  • Inventory Control
  • Distribution Administration
  • Retail Store Experience
  • Leadership Education

Following successful completion of the rotational assignments, you will be placed in a supervisory position in one of the distribution centers.

What type of students are we looking for?

College graduates with majors in:

  • Distribution
  • Transportation
  • Logistics
  • Engineering
  • Business Administration or related areas

Candidates who enjoy taking on responsibility in a measurable, fast-paced environment are desired. Prior grocery experience is a real advantage for candidates but not imperative. Candidates must be open to relocation upon entry to the program and upon future placements and promotions (relocation assistance is provided).
