Accelerated Retail Leadership Program

 

The Accelerated Retail Leadership (ARL) Program prepares you to pursue your first position as a District Manager. You will learn to create a culture where helping customers is the primary focus of all executives and associates.

What Will You Learn?

  • Rotational assignments in distribution, procurement & retail operations
  • Management experience in large & small volume Save-A-Lot stores, rural & urban locations, and various types of retail functions

What Will Your Role Be?

  • Responsible for managing district & indivdual store Profit & Loss statements with assigned district
  • Develop, motivate and direct store teams in a manner that maximizes sales, earnings and customer satisfaction
  • Deliver sales by consistently shaping associate behaviors through effective recruitment and recognition

Upon successful completion of the leadership program, you will be promoted to District Manager and given an assigned district of stores to manage, at which point, relocation may be necessary.

The Accelerated Retail Leadership Program may lead to a number of career paths including Division Manager and Regional Director.

  • Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team
  • Ability to execute plans and strategies independently to solve problems
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Finance, or related field along with demonstration of academic performance
  • Ability to travel up to 50%. Additional travel outside of assigned region as needed
  • Willingness to relocate to assigned district upon completion of the program
