Accelerated Retail Leadership Program

The Accelerated Retail Leadership (ARL) Program prepares you pursue a leadership position in our field Retail Operations organization. You will learn to create a culture where helping customers is the primary focus of all executives and associates.

What Will You Learn?

  • Rotational assignments in distribution, procurement & retail operations
  • Management experience in large & small volume Save-A-Lot stores, rural & urban locations, and various types of retail functions

What Will Your Role Be?

  • Develop, motivate and direct store teams in a manner that maximizes sales, earnings and customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for managing store Profit & Loss results by controling costs in payroll and merchandise expense
  • Deliver sales by consistently shaping associate behaviors through effective recruitment and recognition

The Accelerated Retail Leadership Program may lead to a number of career paths including Store Manager, District Manager or Regional Merchandising Manager.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Finance, Ag Business and Food Science or related field along with demonstration of academic performance
  • Ability to travel up to 50%. Additional travel outside of assigned region as needed
  • Willingness to relocate to assigned district upon completion of the program
