Accelerated Retail Leadership Program Overview
To get you started in your career as a Retail Leadership trainee, our Accelerated Retail Leadership Program kicks off with intensive field-based training. The experience includes five detailed and structured phases. While the calendar below provides estimated times in each role, your achievement is truly based on your skills & aptitude as a Retail Leader. We believe in recognizing achievements & development over time-tables and dates.
At the completion of the first 4 phases of the Accelerated Retail Leadership Program, you will assume the role of a District Manager.
ARL Program Calendar:
Phase 1 Corporate Office Orientation and ROST
Learning Objective: Participate in the Office Orientation and the Retail Operations Store Training Program.
Duration: Nine weeks
Week 1: New Associate Orientation
Conducted at the St. Louis Corporate Office
Weeks 2 – 9: Retail Operations Store Training Program
Conducted at a training site to be determined
Certification in all areas of Retail Operations
Phase 2 – Perform as an Assistant Store Manager
Learning Objective: Participant will be assigned an assistant manager position and perform all activities associated with the position.
Duration: 6 Months Minimum
Phase 3 – Perform as a Store Manager
Learning Objective: Participant will be assigned a store management position with responsibility and accountability for all store operations.
Duration: 12 Months Minimum
Participant will be assigned a mentor for the duration of the training program
Phase 4 – District Manager Training
Learning Objective: Participant will experience specific activities related to performing the District Manager position.
Duration: 5 Months Minimum
Phase 5 – Perform as a District Manager (Mini-District)
Learning Objective: Upon successful completion of Phases 1 - 4, the participant will be assigned a mini-district (2 - 3 stores) and be accountable for district results.
Duration: 3 to 6 months
