Leftover Recipes
Poppy Pasta Salad
A fantastic lunch option or side to go with a leftover ham sandwich.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Bowtie or Spiral Pasta, cooked
- 1 1/2 cups Creamy Poppyseed dressing
- 1/2 cup Green Onions, sliced
- 3/4 cup Dried Cherries
- 1/2 cup Almond slivers
- 3/4 cup Sliced Celery
- 1 1/2 cups Sugardale ham, diced
Directions
- Prepare pasta according to directions on box, drain and cool.
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Transfer to covered storage container and refrigerate several hours or overnight.

Crockery Cooker Calico Ham and Bean Soup
The perfect hot meal solution for your family on a cold winter day.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Bean Mix for soup
- 6 cups Water
- 2 cups Sugardale Ham, 1/2" pieces
- 1 cup Chopped Onion
- 1 cup Chopped Carrot
- 1-2 tsp. to taste Italian Herbs
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
- 2 each Bay Leaves
Directions
- Rinse beans in colander under running water. Sort out any dirt or small pebbles. Drain.
- In a 3 1/2, 4 or 5 quart crockery cooker combine beans, water, ham, onions, carrots and seasonings.
- Cover and cook on low heat setting for 8-10 hours or on high heat setting for 4 to 5 hours.
- Discard bay leaves before serving.

Easy Monte Cristo Sandwiches
With the addition of French toast and maple syrup, try this one for breakfast.
Ingredients
- 4 slices Sugardale Ham, sliced
- 8 oz. Turkey, sliced
- 8 each French Toast, frozen prepared
- 4 slices Swiss Cheese, sliced
- As needed Maple Syrup, warmed
Directions
- Remove French toast from the freezer.
- Place four slices on the countertop and top each with a slice of ham, 2 ounces of turkey and a Swiss cheese slice.
- Place remaining French toast slices on top of Swiss cheese.
- Place sandwiches on a preheated George Foreman grill and cook until sandwiches are heated through and cheese is melted.
- Serve immediately with warmed maple syrup for dunking.

Ham and Cheddar Ranch Cheese Ball
Easy to make and serve, your family can enjoy the taste of the holidays in the form of a cheesy snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Sugardale Ham, diced
- 2-8 oz. pkgs. Cream Cheese
- 3 cups Sharp Cheddar cheese Shredded
- 1-1 oz. pkg. Ranch Dressing Mix
- 2 cups Chopped Pecans
Directions
- Soften cream cheese at room temperature for 20 minutes.
- Place cream cheese and Ranch dressing mix in mixing bowl and beat until combined.
- Add shredded cheese and diced ham.
- Form into two cheese balls or logs, wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap and refrigerate.
- Immediately before use, roll cheese balls/logs in chopped pecans.

Ham and Cheese Quesadillas
This quick and delicious way to spice up your leftovers brings a unique southwestern flair to the holidays.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Sugardale Ham, chopped
- 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Kernel Corn, thawed
- 1-4oz. can Diced Green Chilies
- 8 each 10” Flour Tortillas
- As needed Sour Cream
- As needed Salsa
Directions
- In a medium size bowl combine ham, cheese, corn and chilies. Stir to mix well.
- Scoop 1/2 cup of filling on the right side of the tortilla. Spread slightly toward the outside edges of the tortilla.
- Fold the left side over the filling making a half-moon shape.
- Place quesadillas on a griddle or in an electric fry pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
- Cook until each side is golden brown and filling is heated through and cheese is melted.
- Cut each quesadilla in thirds.
- Serve immediately with sour cream and salsa on the side.

Two Bite Ham Pinwheels
This fun recipe is sure to please as an appetizer for your family or holiday guests.
Ingredients
- 3 TBS Margarine, softened
- 3 oz block Cream Cheese, softened
- 2/3 cup Sugardale Ham, finely diced
- 1/3 cup Onions, finely diced
- 2 TBS Parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 2-8 oz. cans Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
Directions
- Combine margarine and cream cheese until smooth.
- Stir in onion, ham, parmesan cheese, and parsley; mix well.
- Separate dough into eight rectangles: press perforations to seal the triangles and make a rectangle.
- Spread margarine mixture over dough.
- Roll up each rectangle, starting at short end; cut into four slices.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet, cut side down, flatten slightly.
- Bake at 375° 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately.
