Nothing Pie
Roll out pie crust and line the pie dish. Mix flour & sugar and pour into crust. Pour in enough milk to fill the pie crust up to .25 inch below the top of the pie shell. Do not stir. Add butter in chunks. Sprinkle with spices. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until the knife comes out clean when inserted in the center. I take aluminum foil and set the pie on it. Wrap it up around the pan. It keeps the crust from getting too brown. Then if it runs over a bit the foil catches the juice and save a mess in the oven.
My grandmother used to bake this pie. She'd say you could always have dessert even if you didn't have the fruit for a regular pie. She always had a sweet treat for us when we came to her house.
