Breakfast Bars



1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. In a bowl melt butter, add the honey, syrup and ground allspice. Mix in the flour, baking soda, oats, sugar then stir well. Add 1/4 cup water - stir.

3. Pour into square baking dish - flatten out. Optional: Can sprinkle raisins on top and press lightly.

4. Bake for about 15 minutes. Cut into bars.


Needed something to take on the go for breakfast. The breakfast bars store well and taste great.

Seems as though you would have better (more even)flavor if all the dry ingredients were added alternately with wet ingredients. Pretty darn good!

I also add a few mini chocolate chips. This turns out great! I eat mine before going to bed for a more restful sleep. Works great for me!
