Ingredients
1/2 lbs. Bacon
2 cups All-Purpose Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Iodized Salt
2 tbs. Unsalted Butter, Melted
2 Grade A Large Eggs
1 1/2 cups 2% Milk
1/2 cup Light Syrup, For Serving

Serve with syrup {and more bacon if any left over!}

Directions

  1. Preheat electric waffle iron. Grease with cooking spray.
  2. Cook bacon until crisp. Drain and pad off any extra grease. Crumble bacon into little pieces.
  3. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a large bowl. Use whisk to blend ingredients together.
  4. Microwave milk for 1 minute to heat slightly. Pour milk into medium bowl; add melted butter and eggs. Whisk liquid mixture together before adding liquid ingredients to flour mixture.
  5. Pour 1/3 cup of batter over each iron, and add 1/8 of bacon on top. Close waffle iron and cook until allotted time.
  6. Repeat with remaining batter and bacon until done. Recipe makes 8 medium size waffles.
