Beef Chop Suey

Looking for a simple recipe with ground beef? This chop suey recipe can’t get any easier! Instead of requiring you to stir-fry everything and time the rice just right, this beef chop suey is baked all together. Make sure you have room in your recipe file for this chop suey recipe, because you’re sure to come back to it again and again.

1. Brown the beef and drain any excess grease.

2. Put in a 9x13 baking pan or casserole dish. Add remaining ingredients and just cover with water. Cover with foil and bake at 350ºF for about 30 minutes or until rice is thoroughly cooked.

3. Remove foil during last 15 minutes to allow the beef chop suey to thicken.

This chop suey recipe is customizable, too. If you’d like to add egg to your beef chopped suey, fry one or two while the dish is baking, then break up the cooked egg and stir it in. Even though this is a recipe with ground beef, it’s also easy to turn this beef chop suey into a vegetarian dish. Simply leave out the beef and substitute your favorite vegetables (try mushrooms, carrots and bell peppers) to create a chop suey recipe that’s all your own.

I made this for dinner tonight. I was a little confused on exactly how much water to put on top of the mixer. It was good but a little strong from the soy sauce. I think i did not add enough water. Gonna try again adding a little more water this time. Wish the recipe gave the exact of amount of water to put on top of mixture. (Obviously im not a "COOK" ) ha ha

This sounds easy and tasty. I will take same tack as another reviewer and add more veggies.

Quick, easy, one dish meal. Added some veggies and it was well received at my table of picky eaters. Definitely one to add to the recipe box.
