Hamburger Stew



1. Brown meat in a pot, drain.

2. Add 1 can mix vegetables and drain other veggies and add, mix brown gravy in and add tomato sauce.

3. In pot of water cook macaroni as directed as package says. Drain mix in macaroni to the meat and vegetables and cook until hot.

4. Make cornbread as directed on package and serve stew and cornbread hot and enjoy.


Thick and filling stew and cornbread are great on a cold winter day

for a different twist with added flavor substitute 1lb of sausage for the hamburger meat. the sausage seasonings add a great flavor!

Really quick and amazingly easy to make! My only suggestion is that the recipe needs a little more flavor. I added Steak seasoning when I was browning the Hamburger. Then after it was all mixed together in one pot, I added about 2 teaspoons of Cumin. Of course the amounts could be adjusted depending on your personal tastes. Otherwise, pretty yummy meal and the cornbread really rounded it out! There was plenty for 4 people (3 adults and 1 child) and enough for lunch leftovers the following day.
