Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese



1. Put 1 tsp of margarine in a pan and warm for about 4 minutes on medium heat. Be careful not to brown or burn the margarine.

2. Open pizza sauce and pour into a bowl. Stir and warm in microwave for 1-3 minutes.

3. Gather 2 slices of bread, 1 slice of american cheese, 1 slice of mozzarella cheese and 3 pieces of pepperoni in order to form a sandwich. Put the sandwich in the pan and brown each side.

4. Once both sides are browned as desired, cut the sandwich into 4 triangle slices. Dip or cover with sauce and enjoy!


I made grilled cheese for lunch for my 5 year old son and he wanted pepperoni on it because he loves pizza! I went to Save-A-Lot and got some bread, cheese slices, pepperoni and pizza sauce, and created this for him. He likes his slices covered in the sauce, but I like to dip my slices. You can substitute different breads, cheeses, meats, and sauces depending on your desired taste/diet, but it's always enjoyable and quick - prep and cook time is about 8 minutes total!

My son is 4 and normally if it's not chicken nuggets he wants nothing to do with it but he LOVES this pizza sandwich. I actually spread a thin layer of sauce inside the sandwich like mayo before I cook it and make garlic butter for him to dip it in. Cleans his plate every time.
